Ensuring Good Jobs, Fair Treatment, and High Performance in a Turbulent Economy Hotel Information If you are planning to attend the Policy Forum and are from out of the DC area, discounted hotel rooms have been secured at the Hilton Washington, 1919 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington D.C. 20009. The discounted rate for single and double room with king-sized beds is $199. The special rate is offered for the nights of June 10 and 11, 2009 and three days either side of the conference in case other business or sight-seeing is also on your agenda. You must have reserved your room by May 25, 2009 to be guaranteed the discount, though the hotel may (if asked) allow the discount to those reserving rooms after the deadline. You may also reserve your room by telephone. Simply call Hilton Reservations at 1-800-Hiltons (1-800-445-8667) or (202) 483-3000. Please request the group rates for the Labor and Employment Relations Association or LERA. In some cases, your corporate rate may be less than this contracted rate so please do ask about corporate rates if your organization has such an arrangement with Hilton Hotels. However, please specify you are a part of the LERA Group so LERA receives the credit for your reservation. The hotel requires a first night deposit which is refundable up to 72 hours in advance of the meeting date. Checks and major credit cards are accepted as prepayment and cards are charged the deposit amount on reservation. The Hilton Washington enjoys a magnificent garden setting that overlooks the capital city's impressive skyline. Conveniently located on fashionable upper Connecticut Avenue and only a quarter of a mile from the Dupont Circle Metro station, the hotel sits just minutes from Georgetown, Adams-Morgan, Embassy Row, the Washington business district, and all local points of interest. The hotel is a mile from the Cafritz Conference Center where all LERA Policy Forum meetings will be held--only a short cab ride away. The Cafritz Conference Center is located in the Marvin Center on the campus of George Washington University at 800 21st Street, N.W. Washington D.C. 20052. LERA Registration and meeting roooms will be located on the 3rd floor. |
