Director of Employee and Labor Relations

The Director of Employee and Labor Relations has responsibility for directing, coordinating and developing goals and objectives, policies and procedures and courses of action in response to all areas of employee and labor relations. In addition, may be assigned other areas of work as directed by the Sr. Director of Human Resources.  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business or Public Administration, Human Resource Management, labor law or a closely related field.  Minimum of six years experience in Human Resources, at least three of which must have been in a management position.  Must possess considerable knowledge of management-labor relations: the principles, practices and procedures of Human Resource Management.  Possess a clear understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements affecting Human Resources programs including but not limited to, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Civil Rights Act of 1964, ADEA and other Ohio labor law   Preferred Qualifications:  JD Preferred.  PHR or SPHR preferred.
