OVERVIEW OF THIS POSITION

This position is responsible for leading, managing and developing UNAC/UHCP’s collective bargaining program and representation services. In consultation with the Union’s elected officers, the Director is responsible for all aspects of the Union’s collective bargaining and contract enforcement activities. The Director is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising the Union’s representation staff. The Director, in conjunction with the Union’s Treasurer and/or Controller and the State Secretary, is responsible for establishing and managing the Department’s annual budget.

This position works under the direction of the UNAC/UHCP Officers and reports to the President. Work is performed independently, but keeps the UNAC/UHCP Officers regularly apprised of activities and developments.
