The Marin Association of Public Employees (MAPE) is seeking an accomplished leader to assume the position of Executive Director.  The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall direction and leadership for the union and for MAPE’s day to day operation.  The right candidate will have a proven record in union administration with a strong vision of how a public employee union should operate.  They should also have the skills and personality to inspire the membership with that vision.

MAPE is a newly reconstituted independent union representing 1,300 members who are employees of the County of Marin. The bargaining units we represent are: Clerical, Trades, Public Services, Technical, H&HS Workers and Public Defenders.  The membership in these units recently decertified from SEIU after having spent 3 years under SEIU 1021.
