The Senior Labor Relations Representative Performs a broad range of employee and labor relations activity including contract administration, grievance investigation, pre-arbitration settlement negotiations, arbitration, and contract negotiations. Advises management on the application and administration of various collective bargaining agreements and labor relations policies including assessment and administration of disciplinary activity for hourly employees. Team with other HR staff members in administration, interpretation and negotiations of Collective Bargaining Agreement for 2000+ member Bargaining Unit. Participates in informational programs, training and preparation of employee handbooks and manuals to effect cooperation and coordination in union-employee management relations. Conduct investigations into allegations of ethics, company and policy violations. Partner with functional organizations within the company in order to advise the staff members of HR issues. Provide counsel and assistance to employees and management in employee or management issues.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree in HR, Business, or related field and at least 6+ years of Labor Relations experience. Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization. Must have refined writing abilities and communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and common business applications – Word, Excel, Access, Power Point
Preferred Requirements: Masters Degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business or related field. Demonstrated expertise in Labor Relations, including discipline processes, grievances, arbitrations and negotiations. Strong negotiation and mediation skills. Proven expertise of Human Resource and Labor laws. Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships in a unionized environment.
