The 126-member chapter meets monthly for lunch or dinner at the Como Inn, September through May, on dates determined by speaker availability. Recent events have included Jill Foucré, Chief Operating Officer, UnitedHealthcare in Illinois; Dennis P. Walsh, Member of the National Labor Relations Board; and a Tour of the Argonne National Laboratory.

Dues are $35 regular, $5 student or retired, $200 organization.

LIRA (University of Illinois)
The LIRA student chapter has 135 members and maintains an active program of speakers and events. Ongoing activities include a new student orientation and mentoring program, plant trips, labor-related movies, brown bag discussions on IR issues, program speakers, and social gatherings. The chapter designs and sells LIRA logo clothing for fund-raising and publicity and co-sponsors a Multicultural Fest in fall.

Affiliated with National IRRA 1968.
