The 92-member chapter holds bimonthly dinner
meetings, September through June, at various locations in the west central
Florida area. The January 2003 meeting topic
was Exciting developments in Alternative Dispute Resolution and it's
impact on labor, Employment and Business Contract cases. The speaker
was Albert J. Orosa, VP, American Arbitration Association. The March 2003
meeting topic is Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation Procedures
of the U.S. EEOC with speaker Gilbert Carrillo, Director of ADR/Mediation,
US EEOC, Miami, Florida.
The May 2003 meeting will feature speaker
Richard Barnes, FMCS Deputy Director, on the topic of "Negotiations
Techniques". The September 2003 meeting topic will be "Perspectives
on PERC" with Florida PERC Chairperson, Donna Poole. The November
2003 meeting topic will be "Developments at the NLRB".
