The 65-member chapter holds three dinner meetings at the Plaza 500 Hotel. Past programs include Ed Lavalle, President, College Institute Educators Assn., and Donald Monk, Labor Relations, Canada Safeway Limited, on "Have We Created a Contingency or Casual Workforce?", and "The Direction of Labour Policy in B.C. Under the NDP vs Under the Liberals" presented by the Honorable Joy MacPhail, Minister of Labour and Kevin Krueger, Liberal MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson.  Potential future programs include revisions and exclusions under the federal Labor Code, high-level joint committees, Worker's Compensation and the Royal Commission Report, and "meet or exceed" provisions under the Employment Standards Act.

Dues are $25.

The 20-30 member chapter plans to hold approximately monthly meetings beginning in January. Suggested topics include labor-management response to changes in the federal Labor Code, including the new provision on replacement workers during an industrial strike; the impact of changes in the federal Employment Equity (Affirmative Action) Act on employer-union relations effective this year; challenges confronting trade unions in organizing MacDonald's, Wal-Mart etc.

Dues are $15.
