What is LERA?
The Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) is an international organization whose overall purpose is to foster and promote communication amoung labor relational professionals.
The Hudson Valley Chapter of LERA was founded in 1986, to enable professionals in the field of labor relations to become better acquainted, to keep abreast of practices and new developments and to exchange ideas.
Our Hudson Valley Chapter adopted, at its inception, a policy of promoting an ongoing dialogue between all interested parties in the labor relations community. We are pledged to continue that policy at the lowest possible cost to our members.

Who belongs to LERA?
Membership is open to anyone interested in the field of labor relations. The membership of this Chapter includes professionals in the area of research and education, compensation and benefits, human resources, labor and employment, public policy, arbitration, law, consulting, administration, and other related fields.

Benefits to You
Quarterly Meetings: Besides the opportunity to exchange ideas and mix with colleagues, our quarterly meetings include a guest speaker who gives a presentation on items of interest to those in the field of labor and employment relations.
The cost of these dinner meetings is generally $25-30 at locations in Westchester, Orange, or Dutchess Counties. The sites for these locations vary, but each includes a separate dining facility, a cocktail area, and a conference room where our Chapter's Executive Board meets prior to the dinner meeting.

Membership Fees
Membership fees are $25.00 annually for a Regular membership and $10.00 annually for Students. There is also an Organizational membership for $50.00, which entitles any organization to three (3) memberships. Anyone joining after January 1st will have their fees applied to the following year's membership.
Fees collected support the operation of our Chapter and help pay for speakers' expenses. No salaries or honorariums are paid to any Officer of this Association. We are a non-profit membership Association.
