Please join us for a holiday meeting of the Houston Chapter of LERA. Our speaker will be Martha Kinard, Regional Director of the NLRB. This past September the Board handed down a number of significant decisions, including Dana Corp. in which the Board modified its longstanding recognition and contract bar doctrine. Ms. Kinard will discuss the Board's Dana Corp. decision and its impact on organizing for employers and unions as well as other recent developments.

Come meet R.J. Ruff, Jr., recently appointed District Director for the EEOC's Houston District Office on October 1, 2006. Mr. Ruff will bring us up-to-date on the EEOC's expanded customer service through the NCC as well as updates on organizational and enforcement changes.
