 Chapter Merit Awards

At the 1997 IRRA Spring Meeting (now held in June) in New York City, the Executive Board approved the NCAC proposal to establish annual Chapter Awards to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of local chapters. Three levels of awards were established: Chapter Merit, Outstanding Chapter, and Chapter Star. Nominations may come from chapters themselves, the NCAC, or the national office. Chapter nominations for the previous year are due in the national office by October 15. Members of the NCAC and national office will review nominations and make selections. Awards are presented at the annual meeting in January.
