History

The Network was founded 10 years ago by Thomas A. Kochan, MIT Professor and former President of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA), as an interest group of the LERA and as a way to share research on work and employment relations.  Hirsch Cohen and Gail Pesyna of the Sloan Foundation provided initial support for the formation of this network. Before April 2003, the Network was called the “Human Resources (HR) Network.”
